Rhinoplasty is a kind of plastic surgery performs to improve the functionality of nose (respiratory system) and or for reconstructive purpose to come over birth defects. Some times rhinoplasty is also known as a form of cosmetic surgery because many peoples go for rhinoplasty for cosmetic purpose. The other names of rhinoplasty are nose job, nasal surgery and nose surgery. Some times rhinoplasty surgery is performed along with chin augmentation to achieve the desired result.
Rhinoplasty is performed in the presence of general anesthetic and rhinoplasty surgeon. In this surgery surgeon make incisions inside the nostrils. In the case of badly damage of cartilage and bone of nose, a synthetic implant may be used for rhinoplasty. Patients having disfunctioning in their breathing system may also require septoplasty along with rhinoplasty.
